How can you, as the Union's leader, leave the Union?

If you are inactive on game play for 15 days the union leadership will automatically go to the player with the highest stats!
No other way of doing it as of yet.
You could try going into union manager to see if you can promote the highest person to leader and demote yourself ? Not sure if that would work though.
