Crossing Void - Global Guide

Support characters in the game covers a large pool of characters with overlapping roles. There are dedicated buffers and healers but there are also some characters that can reliably provide buffs, debuffs, cleansing, and healing while also being able to deal reliable damage through skills or ults. In this page, we will be discussing some of the best and highly regarded support characters that you can consider adding to your team.

Ako (And You Thought There Were No Girls Online?)

Ako is the best dedicated healer of the game which is offset by her lack of any offensive skill. Her Skill 1 (Healing Surgery, 0SP) restores the HP of a front row ally for a small amount good for 2 rounds. Her Skill 2 (Angelus, 5SP) provides a shield capable of absorbing almost half of any incoming damage to your allies for 1 round.

These skills may not seem much but her strength lies mainly with her ult, Sacred Hymn, which only costs 8UP. This Purify ult will remove ALL debuffs and damaging effects applied to your team, dispel all buffs from the enemy team, heal your team, and give all allies immunity from any debuffs for 1 round. Ako’s ult can be a game changer and can turn the tide of battle in your favor.

Ako also has an indispellable exclusive talent “Caring Cleric” that reduces the damage taken by allies as long as she’s deployed. If you're using a lower-grade version of Ako, keep altering her talents until you get this then keep this talent as soon as you’re able to unlock it.

* Recommended Cross/Supports for Ako

Ako only has one Cross support with her “husband”, Rusian. Their cross skill, Gamer Couple (3SP) only allows Ako to perform a good AoE attack. That’s why you’ll have to assign a good sub to Ako so that you can do something else when you don’t need her to heal. Here are some suggestions:

Holo is a really great sub to almost any support character because she has two support skills available. The first one is the Rye Watcher is a unique skill that allows Holo to boost your party’s SP gauge (up to +6 SP upon this skill’s activation). There may be a downside but the benefits outweigh the costs. That high SP boost will allow your teammates to use high SP skills, at the same time converting them to Ult points, giving you a chance to use an ult faster. Holo’s other support skill is Rage of (the) Wolf Deity. This skill allows her to land a powerful, 1-hit AoE attack to all enemies.

Kouko is another great sub for Ako that will further increase her healing capacity. Kouko’s support skill is a 2SP heal called Passionate Kisses. This applies the healing buff “Lady’s Affections” to all allies good for 3 rounds and cannot be dispelled. If you use this skill again while Lady’s Affections buff is still active, it turns into the “Seasoning of Love” buff that removes up to 2 damaging debuffs and will further increase healing for all allies. Again, this effect cannot be dispelled. With a really low SP cost, you’ll be able to use this skill as often as needed.

You can also assign subs to Ako that allow you to use her turn to dispel enemy buffs or debuffs and damaging effects applied to your team. Here are some suggestions:

* Touma: (All-Out, 3SP) P.Damage to front row enemy, dispels up to 2 buffs

* Ryuji: (Happy Box, 2SP) Remove up to 2 debuffs from your team. Generates a shield good for 1 round for your allies if at least 1 debuff was removed.

* Kuroneko: (Extermination Rush, 3SP) AoE damage to all enemies, removes up to 2 buffs from them.

* Kazari: (Intel Analysis, 2SP) Removes up to 2 debuffs from allies and heals them for 2 rounds if at least 1 debuff has been removed.

* Erio: (Alien’s Supply, 4SP) Heals all allies, removes up to 2 damaging effects

* Leafa: (Healing Wind, 3SP) Heals all allies, removes up to 2 damaging effects

Alternatively, you can also give Ako sub characters who can seal enemies.

* Asuna: (Twinkling Star, 4SP) Deal damage to a back row character and seal the target for 1 round.

* Kuroko (Arrest, 5SP) Deal damage to a back row character and seal the target for 1 round.

* Boogiepop (Art of Tangle, 5SP) Deal damage to a front row enemy and seal the target for 1 round

* Wilhelmina (Ribbon Seal, 5SP) Deal damage to a front row enemy and seal the target for 1 round

* Kuroyukihime (Death by Crossing, 5SP) Deals damage to mid-row enemy and seals the target for 1 round

* Zero (Magic Seal, 5SP) Deal sp.damage to a mid-row enemy and seals the target for 1 round.

Kirino (Main, Oreimo)

Kirino is a hybrid support unit. She also has a high SPD stat, allowing her to activate her heal and cleanse damaging effects. Her Skill 2 (Kind Queen of Nightmare) is a 3SP AoE heal that restores HP and removes up to 2 damaging effects. Her AoE ult, Shooting Star, only costs 8UP and deals both p.damage and sp.damage while also debuffing enemies and increasing their damage taken for a round.

Kirino’s other highlight is having a very useful exclusive talent called “Magical Girls”. This increases the group’s damage and reduces damage taken when HP is below 60%. The threshold of activating this talent’s effect is very forgivable and at most times, achievable.

* Recommended Cross/Supports for Kirino

Kirino has multiple cross support characters, almost all of them giving Kirino various DPS options. Her cross skill with Kuroneko is the only one that seems to be usable. Their cross skill, “Two-faced Queens” (5SP), is an AOE Heal that removes up to 2 damaging effects but inflicts them with a 2-round Bleed effect. Kirino’s Skill 2 has a similar effect at a cheaper SP cost but the amount of HP healed is considerably lesser. Thankfully, Kuroneko’s skill is quite useful as well. Her “Extermination Rush” (3SP) skill is an AoE attack that dispels up to 2 buffs from enemies.

Tomoka (Main, Ro-Kyu-Bu)

Tomoka is one of the fastest support-healers in the game, with her skill set composed of a combination of healing and buffing skills, while offset by lack of any offensive skills. Her Skill 1 is an AoE heal (Fireworks, 0SP) while her Skill 2 is an AoE damage reduction buff. (Fan Dance, 5SP) Her ult is a 6SP damage-boosting buff that can last for a round.

Tomoka’s exclusive talent is called Shooting Guard. This talent will allow the team to get 1 extra SP but will increase the damage by received. This debuff can be negligible, depending on how Tomoka can mitigate it with her Skill 1 and/or Skill 2.

* Recommended Cross/Supports for Tomoka

Tomoka has three cross supports, two of which (with Kirino, and with Enju) provides her with AoE attack options. Kirino’s support skill (Deadly Smash, 3SP) can target a back row enemy and weakens the target, increasing the damage taken for 1 round. Enju’s support skill (Rabbit Leap, 4SP) on the other hand gives Tomoka another AoE attack option with attack down debuff.

However, Tomoka’s pairing with Kouko gives her more reliable and consistent healing options, further increasing her effectiveness. Kouko provides Tomoka with a great AoE heal through their cross skill called Buyo Dancer (4SP). While Tomoka has her own AoE mend, it only recovers a smaller amount of HP with no recovery from damaging effects.

Furthermore, Kouko’s support skill, “Passionate Kisses” (2SP) applies the healing buff “Lady’s Affections” to all allies good for 3 rounds and cannot be dispelled. These additional healing options can make their pairing quite useful in almost all battles.
