How to Unlock the Career:

Pre-requisites:

1. Unlock Downtown

2. Player Level 23 (to unlock the "Club")

3. 10,000 Simoleons - amount paid to unlock the "Club" (DJ career work place).

When you've worked your way up the different careers and job titles, what's left there to top it off? In this game, probably the icing on top is the DJ career. For one thing, it'll be tough to get there as it requires you to at least be Player Level 23 before you get to access it.

DJ Career

The DJ career is currently the last career option in the game, and still found in the Downtown area. It sits on the west part, just beside the Agency. This career would also have 5 chapters as with the other careers available in the game (except Barista Career).

Remixology (DJ Career)

- an amateur DJ puts their own spin on club music.

Level // Required Career Points to Advance // Story Progress

Level 1 - 30 career points - unlocks 1st Chapter (Amateur Audiophile)

Level 2 - 90 career points

Level 3 - 180 career points - unlocks 2nd Chapter (Hooked on the Bass Line)

Level 4 - 300 career points

Level 5 - 420 career points - unlocks 3rd Chapter (Atmospheric Ace)

Level 6 - 600 career points

Level 7 - 727 career points - unlocks 4th Chapter (Serious Spinner)

Level 8 - 1050 career points

Max Level - Top Position (King of a Big Deal)

Quick notes:

New Chapter Starter Events - every new chapter (or promotion in careers) in the game, there will be some sort of starter events -- that will be played out similar to a work shift. As you advance through the chapters of any career, the duration needed to qualify in these starter events become longer (e.g. 1st chapter is more like that of a Quick Shift, but during the 3rd to 4th chapter, they will take 3-4 hours like the Standard Shift). Take note that the career points you earn here will be carried out to the next chapter.

DJ Career

In the game, your career level progress do not always progress in-sync with the chapters. For example; if SIM "A" has reached Level 5 and "Atmospheric Ace" chapter in the DJ career and then chooses to shift to a different career, upon shifting jobs and then going back to the DJ career, he/she'll continue from where he/she left off (which will still be at Level 5 career level and "Atmospheric Ace" chapter). However, if SIM "B" will enlist on the DJ career, he/she will start from Level 1 of the career, and will have to work through the levels until he/she gets to career Level 7, where only then would she progress in the story, "King of a Big Deal".

Quick Shift - rewards 30 career points (usually an hour)

Standard Shift - rewards 90 career points (usually 3-4 hours)

Long Shift - rewards 180 career points (usually 6-8 hours); becomes available at Level 4 in career.

Quick Shift (with bigger rewards) - becomes available at Level 6 in career, rewards 75 career points.

Standard Shift (with bigger rewards) - becomes available at Level 7 in career, rewards 225 career points.

DJ Career

Every time you reach new heights in this career, you'll be able to unlock a certain collection of items relevant to the career itself. Usually, you'll find this in the career collections when in "Build Mode". To see where the newly unlocked items are, simply follow through the options with a red dot marker on top as this indicates that there is something new to find there. In this particular career though, you may expect to unlock home items like; Jukebox, DJ PlumPlum Posters, and the Llama Blu Sculpture. Apart from these, you'll also get to unlock several DJ-work-related items. Keep in mind that everything you purchase for this workplace will permanently be there.

Shifting to another Career:

If you've managed to reach this career, you've probably unlocked all of the other career options. now to shift again to other career options, you'd simply have to pay a fee. If you will shift from a top position of your previous career, you'll have to pay 100 Simoleons before being able to shift to the new career. Otherwise, you'll be asked to pay only 25 Simoleons.
