What is Energy and How to Boost it?

While it may not be a tangible item in the game, Energy is indeed one of the most precious resources in the SIMs Mobile game. Energy, after all, is used to complete all the events in the game—whether it is a relationship, career, or hobby event.

By default, the maximum amount of Energy Points you have is 30. From this supply, the game will deduct Energy from that source whenever completing tasks and other events. It is basically the movement penalty system of the game -- that limits the number of tasks/actions a player can do for any given time duration, as they usually consume a corresponding amount of Energy. For example, completing a Risky move usually consumes 3 Energy Points while Complimenting someone’s outfit only consumes 1 Energy Point.

When all your sims' energy points are consumed, all their actions cannot be overridden by the player, and would be played out normally by the sim themselves (with respect to the events normal duration). What is important is carefully considering - which "actions" to take with the amount of Energy you have. For instance, there will be times where you can finish a shift with just 10 points (actions that usually require 1 energy point), but your sim will tell you that he/she can do a risky move. Regardless if he/she can succeed, it is not necessary to pick a risky action that takes 3 of your energy points, whereas you can finish the event with spending less of your energy.

If you are good with spending your energy, you'll be able to propel your sim through the events that they are attending. This is where working with multiple sims at a time can benefit you, as you can move through your characters' shifts or events, and by the time you get back to the first one you played, it's energy gauge should already been filled. Nonetheless, when the time comes that you've exhausted all your sims' energy points, you have three options available:

a. Eat a Cupcake to replenish all the lost Energy Points

b. Take a Shower, Nap, or Use the Toilet (these are special actions that can be used, but with a cool-down)

c. Close the game and come back when your Energy Points have been refilled.

Additional Helpful "Energy" Tip for Beginners

With the 30 Energy Points you have, it is relatively easy to perform and complete 2 Quick Shifts with one sim's fully replenished energy gauge. Additionally, if you choose to use the Energy refilling actions like "Taking a Nap", or "Take a Shower", that makes it up to 3 complete shifts which will usually reward a total of 90 Career Points in less than 15 (or so) minutes of actual playing.

Upon completely exhausting a particular sim's energy points, you can leave him/her with another quick shift on his/her own. While she/he is performing this automated sequence shift, you may advance on your other sim's career or hobby events. Doing the exact same thing (except using the energy refilling tasks which will still be regenerating by this time), you'll end up completing at least two more events.

When you're out of energy on the second sim, you'll probably have at least 10 energy refilled for the 1st sim -- which you can use to instantly finish his/her event. In between these cycles, you can choose to attend parties which do not use up any of your energy. Attending parties have menial and boring tasks and usually do not pay out that much, but at least it would replenish your energy points while trying to earn from it. There are a number of tasks too in the Daily To-Do lists (like giving stickers to other players, or changing your style for the day) which you can do while you are at a party so make the most out of it.

How to Increase Energy Points?

As mentioned, renewing your Energy Points Bar instantly will cost you one Cupcake. But for those people who would want to reserve the consumption of a cupcake to other actions and/or events, you may just close the game and come back once the Energy Points Bar has been refilled.

Tip: Make sure your SIM is actively completing an event before you quit the game. Since your SIM can complete events on its own without constantly consuming energy. The only drawback is that it will usually take longer for Events to be completed when you keep the game running in the background versus when you are actively completing it.

Tip: When deciding to run the game in the background, be sure of the time it will take you to get back to the game. If you think you’ll be gone for a long time, then pick a longer event (ex. A Long Shift in your Career). But if you are able to get back to the game after an hour or so, then choosing short or mid-length Events are fine.

Important Note: It usually takes 3 minutes per point of Energy to replenish. To fully restore the whole gauge, it will take around 90 minutes on its own.
