Basic Requirements:

Guitar Hobby

The Guitar Hobby gets unlocked as soon as you reach Player Level 9 in Sims Mobile. Getting to the actual hobby wouldn’t be a that hard as long as you have the basic. By now, you should be very familiar with how hobbies are learned/played out in the game - as you would probably have advanced in the cooking hobby by now.

Like the Cooking Hobby, you’ll need a basic item of interest to actually get you practicing this particular hobby. Instead of a Basic Stove, you’ll need to purchase a “Beginner’s Guitar” to actually get you access in Guitar Hobby. To purchase one, simply check your catalogue collections (icon on top of the Quest button). When you get there, you can go to the “Hobby Collections” to get you a filtered out list of items that are only related to hobbies.

Like with that of cooking, see to it that you situate your newly bought Guitar in an accessible place in the house, in order for your sim to actually work some practice sessions on it. Take note that this isn’t engaged automatically as it typically works just like any events in the game (like relationships and career).

Guitar Hobby

To start on a Hobby Event, you’ll have to pick the sim you wish to perform the particular hobby. Click on the sim (making sure he/she isn’t currently engaging on any other event), and then click on the “Beginner’s Guitar” to start a Guitar Hobby practice session. If for instance you can’t start an event, make sure that you’ve placed the Guitar correctly where he/she could actually access it (there will be green-colored foot marks in the build mode to show if the item is accessible). Otherwise, the practice session would be grayed out and will list a pertaining requirement.

As you progress through the chapters of the Guitar Hobby, you’ll eventually unlock other items related to the hobby itself. Since the hobby is basically playing guitars, it would make sense that the stuff you’ll be able to unlock are guitars or relevant equipment used with it.

Chapters are played out similar to your career or relationship events. Here, your options are called “Practice Sessions”. There is an equivalent quick, standard, and long practice sessions, which rewards you with hobby points instead of career points. The chapters and your skill levels work the same as that of your career stories. Every time you get to a new chapter in a particular hobby, there will be some sort of starter events -- that will be played out similar to your typical practice session.

Chapters:

Fledging Fretter

Kind of a Guitar Player

Wannabe Rockstar

Definitely a Guitar Player

Band Member

As you advance through the chapters of a hobby, the duration needed to qualify in these starter events become longer (e.g. 1st chapter is more like that of a Quick Practice Session, but during the 3rd to 4th chapter, they will most likely take 3-4 hours like that of a Standard Practice Session). Take note that the hobby points you earn here will be carried out to the next chapter.

Guitar Hobby

Quick Practice Session - rewards 30 Hobby points (usually an hour)

Standard Practice Session - rewards 90 Hobby points (usually 3-4 hours)

Long Practice Session - rewards 180 Hobby points (usually 6-8 hours); becomes available at Skill Level 4 in Hobby.

Quick Practice Session (with bigger rewards) - becomes available at Skill Level 6 in Hobby, rewards 75 Hobby points.

Standard Practice Session (with bigger rewards) - becomes available at Skill Level 7 in Hobby, rewards 225 Hobby points.
