How do you get new Traits?

In the beginning you will be given only a limited number of Traits, wherein you will only have to select one trait among the list.

As you continue playing, additional Traits will be unlocked.

Aside from just waiting it out, the only sure way for you to get additional Traits is to retire a SIM. By doing so, your SIM will leave you an Heirloom. Whatever Heirloom your SIM leaves you with will allow you with a certain kind of Trait.

But if you aren’t keen on retiring just yet, then use those hard-earned Heirloom Tickets and get yourself an Heirloom you think would be useful for you at the moment.
