How to Get the Good Upbringing Trait

How to Get the Good Upbringing Trait
The Sims™ Mobile Guide

Added:

The Good Upbringing Trait isn't typically available to you unless you took on the specific quest "Oh Baby!" in the game. It isn't necessarily an achievable trait as you would normally get your sims to learn when they gain experience as you play them. Instead, it is a permanent additional trait given to a sim that is grown from a baby sim. This will give your Sim a huge advantage in getting more bonuses during events -- as it generally let your sim become better at all events.

Unlocking The Good Upbringing Trait:

1. Get into a Relationship

To even get to this point, you must at least reach Player Level 11 and have a person with a Level 3 Relationship (particularly those from Friendly and Flirty introductions - check "Relationships").

2. Setup a Bassinet

What you'll need next is to procure a bassinet (Stork's Visit Bassinet) from your Catalog (click the catalog button, then the go to the "buy tab" (third icon), and from there, find the "Babies and Kids" collection. A bassinet would set you back some 580 Simoleons and 10 Home Tickets.

Tip: You can pick the baby's gender when you choose to adopt a baby. However, if you are having a kid with a partner in the game (by woohoo'ing), it will generate a random gender for the baby.

3. Check the Bassinet

When you're all ready (meaning all pre-requisites have been prepared), you'll be given the option to either make a baby with your partner, or adopt one with a friend. Once you settled with any of the options, you'll wait 30 minutes until the baby actually gets there. If you are not as patient, you can pay some SimCash to cut the waiting time. When the baby arrives, you'll now be able to actually interact with the baby (buy clicking on the bassinet).

4. Complete the "Bundle of Joy" event

When you're actually capable of interacting with the baby, do some simple actions like feeding it or singing to it. Like when building a relationship with other sims, you'll eventually be given an option to start an event with the baby sim. This event option would be called the "Bundle of Joy". You may want to do some micro-managing tasks to slice up the time as you'd typically do when performing work shift or practice sessions. When you're done, you'll be notified of unlocking the "Good Upbringing" Trait - an additional trait for your child, aside from the normal 4 traits that he/she will eventually learn in life.

Hope this helps! For a complete list of Traits, check it on the "Getting Started" section of this guide.
