Why the “Load” number is lower when I click on Gather on a lumber yard/iron mine in the world map..

Why the “Load” number is lower when I click on Gather on a lumber yard/iron mine in the world map then when I click on my legions icon?

When I click on my legions icon the class legion load for example is 1.5 million but when I go to the world map and click on Gather on a lumber yard of any level, the load number is 789k

Why is that?

When gathering you should always use t1 or t2 cavalry they can carry the biggest load and they gather faster.
