I have to go abroad for 2 weeks. How can I protect my castle and what will happen to it when I am gone?

You cannot shield for that long. You can try to save troops by sending them to reinforce teammates castles, but they will return if they teleport at any time. Try not to leave any resources in the warehouses (the totals at the top of the screen). You can move the castle to a remote area of the map.

If you are attacked you will only lose resources in the warehouses and possibly troops if you have more wounded than you have room in the hospital. But all of these things can be replaced when you start playing again.
