Why do my workers not route to the closest depot?

I believe that the workers will always collect resources from warehouse 1 of each type. E.g. Lumber Storage ( as opposed to Lumber storage II or Lumber Storage III)

Move the main (number 1) storage building for each type to be the closest one.

Yes, workers always go to depot I. I have co-located huts, depots I, and facilities requiring resources.

I do this as well since I'm impatient lol... I will place my lumber mills around my Lumber depot and then place all crystal makers near as well. I wouldn't suggest splitting them up since workers come from specific huts. So if 3/4 are busy, the 4th won't come out of any hut near the depot it needs, but from the same hut each time.
