Which is better for attacking, Cavalry or Archer?

It will depend on what you are attacking. Cavalry are often preferred as they can travel much faster. Archers do have a stronger attack stat though so can can be more likely to win some fights. It will also depend on buffs from your heroes and and Equipment (armors) that you have.

I would look at the heroes guide for more information since so many factors come into play... everything from heroes, research, armor, class and finally what your attacking for. For example cavalry is best for raiding castles for resources since they carry the most resources. Archers do the most damage and are popular during kill events... while footman have the best demolition power and are used to take occupied tiles during RoC.

all troops have equal offence+deffence

but Cavalry are faster & have bigger carry load
