Can the development team please come up with a way that we can get more ale. I'm spending a lot of money buying it but can we not buy it with gold or gems instead? Would make the game a little bit easier.

I have an over abundance of ale. I never buy it, only trade. One strategy many players use is to “starve the tavern”. In other words, don’t transport food or ale to the tavern. Your efficiency will drop, but it hasn’t slowed me down compared to other players. The only time I supported the tavern was when I needed the population maxed to upgrade the castle.
