I am playing RoE on my Ipad and for some reason I keep losing my capability to chat in the chat room...

I am playing RoE on my Ipad and for some reason I keep losing my capability to chat in the chat room. Can you please help me resolve this issue? I know my partner uses a Samsung tablet and he has no problems with his chatroom.
