How do I stop losing so many t7 footmen when collecting tiles only upto lvl 9?

I would only take tiles your green on or 0% poison and your heroes/legion power make a difference. I only say this because even if it says 6% you might think... "Hey only 6% of my troops isn't much." Well it's actually 6% per battle and that can add up considering you are fighting with less troops each one.
