When you have multiple orange cards of same hero what is deal or even just one extra one of a hero? What is use of these other than selling?

Duplicate heroes give you hero medals. These can be exchanged for wisdom medals but for orange heroes they are important for unlocking some of the skills. Depending on the hero you will need several orange hero medals, in some cases of the same hero itself to unlock all of the skills.
