I have loads of heroes but they don’t show up for stationing. How to get them?

There are combat heroes and development heroes. Most heroes are combat and can only be placed in the legions to lead troops (when you have researched enough for each legion)

Only the development heroes can be stationed through the town hall and it is likely that you have a lot less of these. The higher quality development heroes are rare.

The question was how to station the heroes where they work best, not how to get them or how many. I have filled all of the slots shown, but there are still buildings which can take a hero but no way to place them.

When you click on your Town Hall you will see how many points are available to pay the stationing fee. Even if there are buildings with an open station, you cannot place more heros unless you have enough points to pay the fee. You have to upgrade the Town Hall to aquire more stationing points. Heros typically cost between 1 point to 6 points to station.
