How close can you build the Rally Point to the enemy AC in ROC 1?

When you attack AC1 you can place the rally point as close as possible, wherever you can find a 3x3 space. Until AC1 is destroyed though you can only place rally points in the outer section of the map. Once it goes down you can then place in the next section closer in and as close to the enemy AC2 as possible.You can place a rally point and try to get to AC2 first. but unless the enemy has placed their AC2 near the outer ring then you will have a long way to tile.
