I need to claim 1 hourly challenge in order to start chapter 6, and I have claimed at least a dozen since then. I go to the email and hit claim, and it still says I haven't and need to claim 1 in order to start chapter 6. I'm I doing something wrong or is the game frozen on that ?

Claim it from the events page, it should not be in your mail

The trick to this is you need to tap on the 'Chest' in the hourly events to claim the reward. I was stuck on this for days because its not obvious.
