What's the use of diagram materials?

What's the use of diagram materials? For 600 items it says we get luxorious castle skin. Could you please help me to understand how the castle looks or it's just inside castle?

The luxurious castle skin just changes the look of the main building inside your city, only for you to see. You can also use the diagrams on other decorations for your city layout, but again they are for you only and serve no other function.

Well actually I can see other peoples castles on the battlefield in glorious gold.
