The only options to increase depot protection are:

Become a farmer class. This class has a large depot protection. If you are a farmer then upgrade your castle level and do the national quests to increase your points and unlock the additional protection levels in the class manual.

Alliance tech research. there are items in the research options to increase depot protection.

Reach level 20 and pay for the VIP shop access. VIP will eventually let you build a cellar building to protect some resources.
