Is there a way to rename the castle on world map? I see many castles having designer name plates.

The name on your castle in the world map that other see is your account name. For you it will just show as 'My Town' but others see your name.
The name plate is a custom setting that unlocks with the purchase of certain packages. VIP, Royal Prestige etc. During certain events you can also set custom name plates in the Landscape building.
