How much time take camping and benefits of camping?

Camping is indefinite. you will stay there until you recall the troops or someone attacks you. In general the only reason to camp is to move your troops away from your castle to safeguard them if you get attacked.

During Reign of chaos events you can camp your legion on an occupied plot to force enemies to have to fight them if they are trying to take it from you.
