What are the ways to get courage medals?

Courage medals are mainly earned through completing the clash of province daily events and getting the reward boxes.

You can also earn them from defeating the monsters in the world if you have done the first research item in the Basic combat research tree. This only gives you a chance of getting 1 medal from each defeat. So its not a good way to earn a lot of them.

You can also buy courage medals from time to time in the Token shop. This is in the Bar building where you recruit heroes. Tokens are earned from the hourly challenges events and some other rewards or can be bought with money.
