AppGamer Answered:

Once yo have unlocked enhancement through the research for cavaliers you can enhance them in the Military university. It costs gold to enhance them. The amount will depend on the troops level.

For example for T7 troops it costs approximately 90k gold to enhance 1000 troops. T6 troops are 75k for 1000.
