How can I research more than one item at a time? Can i Unlock more research queues?

The game only ever allows you to research one thing at a time. There are no expansions to this.

You can research more than one item at a time when you use gems

I just had 1 week of two tech queue. I somehow won it during an event but don’t recall , I think it was an hourly but found have been a CoP
