Quests, trials, tasks, etc are included on a majority of game genres, including mobages. Illusion Connect has its own set of quests to keep the players busy and interested. Illusion Corridor is one of the modes that offers a lot of beneficial rewards while also giving players something else to do that’s quite different from the game’s core gameplay. In this page, we will cover the game’s Illusion Corridor, how to play it, and what rewards this mode has to offer.

What is Illusion Corridor?

This is one of the challenging single-player modes in the game that offers a variety of valuable rewards such as Gnosis Shards, an SSR Gear, and Lost Mirrors. The best however, is the chance to get character shards - even for SSR characters!

While this is quite very appealing, you may get intimidated by the high difficulty spike as you go through the different opponent teams. Thankfully, you can feel at ease knowing that you’re not required to clear the final opponent to get the rewards; you can give up part way and still keep the rewards you have accumulated so far. You’ll have 3 attempts, with each attempt refreshed daily.

You should also consider this mode as a separate instance. That said, all stat growth, characters earned, and those used in Fusion are all temporary. In this mode, you’ll be able to temporarily hire SSR characters including the ones you don’t own.

The combat is the same though manual control is highly recommended. It’s also possible to win against higher CP opponents in the later stages, as long as you played your cards right and prepared for it early on.

Mode Attributes

During this mode, the initial ATK, DEF, and HP of the Leader and all partners are fixed. As you clear stages, your leader’s stats will grow while your partners’ attributes will only increase through Fusion. As you fuse Partners, they’ll increase their stars, which in turn, increase their stats as well. All partners developed to the 5-star level and partners with the Awaken attribute will gain extra buff bonuses which can be triggered in battles. The extra buff bonuses of partners after awakening will replace the buffs by 5-star partners that were originally part of your team.

Finally, the stat boosts provided by your partners’ equipment will be null and won’t be counted. However, the skill effects of those equipment will still be active during the battle.

Illusion Corridor Gameplay

Now that we have covered the basic rules, let’s discuss the gameplay. Upon entering the mode, you’ll have to choose 1 of the three random Leader classes. Each Leader class has his own set of skills and buff activations so adjust your lineup so they can activate the necessary Leader buffs. You can also review a Leader’s skills before selecting him. After selecting the leader, you can bring up to 10 partners for this challenge.

There are 9 stages in total, which you should challenge in order and with increasing difficulty. Upon clearing stages 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7, 3 random buffs will be offered to your party. Select one that you think will benefit your current lineup.

After each stage is cleared, you’ll get the option to choose 3 partners of varying rarity. You have to be careful when selecting a partner since upon selecting one, you can’t go back to the previous selection. It’s recommended to pick top-tier SSR characters that you don’t have or you think you can swap in to one of your partners. For the SR and R selections, choose the ones you intend to “feed” or use as fusion materials to the partners in your team that you want to awaken.

Before you can start a stage, you’ll see the menu below. Here, you can shuffle your team members, fuse partners, check your buffs and rewards, or check the enemy Lineup. The Settle option will allow you to end your run and keep your rewards. You should also see the number of attempts you have for that session. Every time you lost, you’ll lose a challenge attempt. There are three challenge attempts per session and if runs out, your run will end but you’ll still get to keep the rewards you have acquired.

Partner Fusion

After each stage is cleared, you’ll get the option to choose 3 partners of varying rarity. You have to be careful when selecting a partner since upon selecting one, you can’t go back to the previous selection. It’s recommended to pick top-tier SSR characters that you don’t have or you think you can swap in to one of your partners. Again, these SSR characters are only temporary. Some of the top choices are Anna (healer), Kiraya (guardian), Miyuki (AoE DPS), Phoebe (AoE DPS + Debuff), Maki (single-target DPS), Hersey (single-target DPS), Yuffie (AoE DPS). When you see them offered in the selection, grab them immediately. You should also decide if you’ll awaken them or not since your future choices will depend on that.

For the SR and R selections, choose the ones you intend to “feed” or use as fusion materials to the partners in your team that you want to awaken. As much as possible, you’ll need to feed the partners that have the same class as the main partner you want to awaken. So for example, you’ll want to awaken a guardian like Kiraya, you’ll need to select guardian partners from hereon until you fully awaken her.

During the Fusion process, you have to select the main partner you want to awaken. Then, select as many partners you want to feed to the main partner. You’ll get bonus EXP for using a copy of the main partner as well as using a different partner but with the same class. Otherwise, using a different partner with a different class will only give base EXP. Once the gauge is filled, you’ll get the shards of the main partner you awakened. This is quite useful especially when trying to get shards for your SSR characters.

As a reminder, don’t hesitate using the partners you already own! This mode is temporary - you can’t keep the partners you have picked and the partners you own that’s used in fusion are not lost from your roster either.
