What are the different stats in Pokemon Masters?
Pokémon Masters Guide
Similar to regular Pokemon Games, Sync Pairs each have stats that vary per character. There are 6 different stats in the game, and they all affect different aspects of your Sync Pair's power.
If you open your character's information, you should see your stats just below your Pokemon's image. Here are the different stats, and what they do in the game:
HP
This refers to hit points, they determine how much health your sync pair has. Any damage done to you will reduce your hit points, and reducing it all the way to zero will make your Pokemon faint. Having higher HP means you'll last longer in battle due to the amount of hits that you can take. HP is helped further by your defense, or special defense.
Attack
The Attack stat determines how much power your Pokemon can use when dealing Physical moves. If you view a Pokemon move and see a red and yellow icon in its category, then it's considered a Physical attack. Having higher attack stats will increase the damage output for physical category moves. Damage from Attack can only be lowered if an opponent has high Defense, but if an opponent has low Defense then you'll be able to deal more damage.
Defense
This stat determines how much you can withstand Physical attacks. The higher your Defense, the lesser impact any physical moves will deal to you. Having high Defense is important if your opponents are mostly using Physical category attack moves.
Sp. Atk
Also known as Special Attack, this stat determines how much power your Pokemon can use when dealing Special moves. If you view a Pokemon move and see a blue icon with a white ripple, then it's considered a Special attack. Having higher Sp. Atk will increase the damage output for special category moves. Damage from Sp. Atk can only be lowered if an opponent has high Sp. Def, but if an opponent has low Sp. Def then you'll be able to deal more damage.
Sp. Def
Also known as Special Defense, this stat determines how much you can withstand Special attacks. The higher your Sp. Def, the lesser impact any special moves will deal to you. Having high Sp. Def is important if your opponents are mostly using Special category attack moves.
Speed
Speed determines how fast your Sync Pair can fill their Move Gauge. Having higher speed means you'll be able to unleash moves more often. This is important in determining which Pokemon can deal damage first, provide supportive moves, or deal status infliction.
