Device Support
Fortnite Guide
Fortnite Mobile is now playable on select iOS devices. As of the time of writing, you wouldn't need to secure an invitation code in order to download the game (as opposed to how you needed to secure one when it was initially launched). Fortnite battle royale is compatible with the following devices: iPhone SE, 6S, 7, 8, X; and 2017 released iPad Mini 4, and Air 2, iPad Pro. Anything not included in the aforementioned list wouldn't be able to play the game.
The general idea is that the game needs a lot of computing power to properly play the game -- which requires at least the A9 chip. As a good rule of thumb, if your device is purchased last year (2017), you'll most likely be able to play the game. If you have say an iPad mini 4 and be figuring out why you still can't play the game, the most probable culprit is the chip that is inside your device. If it was one of the earlier releases with the A8 chip, it would not be able to play the game.
Keyboards, Controllers and Voice Chat:
As of the the time of writing, the game does not support any keyboards or bluetooth controllers. For those who would find their way to make this work with jailbroken devices (using third party apps), it probably wouldn't be a good idea to pursue this. Apart from probably not being able to successfully run the game from a jailbroken device, you might also be banned from the game servers.
The good news however is that Epic has acknowledge the potential support of these devices in future updates. The same is true with voice chat support. For now though, we'll have to make do with visual cues from our squad members to bring forth anything close to a team-strategy.
For future updates regarding the support on android devices, you may bookmark this page. As of current, there isn't a word from the developers about the time line of availability in google play (for android devices), as well as the list of supported devices thereof. Hope this helps!
