If you happen to play the game on other platforms, it might take a while to get used to the mobile version of the game. Nonetheless, it is very easy to adapt to the new interface as it is very similar to that of what you are accustomed with -- of course with minor optimizations to help ease you in the difficulties playing an FPS game in a handheld, touch screen device.

This section of the guide will help you learn the different functions of the on-screen buttons, guide seasoned players to find a particular action that they are accustomed with. For total beginners, this section will serve as a complete reference to help familiarize you with the game's interface, and ultimately get you in and around the different functions of buttons and indicators in the game.

Battle Mode Interface

1. Map of the island - indicates your current position in the map, the safe diameter of the storm's eye, and the concluding shrink location.

2. Countdown timer until the eye shrinks - timer that reminds you until the safe zone shrinks again.

3. Remaining (alive) contenders - number of remaining players in the current match.

4. Vitality indicator (HP and Shield) - Shield gets a fill with shield potion and acts as extra HP. Your Health Points (HP) however dictates a particular value of hits to your avatar until it can continue its ability to function.

5. Avatar orientation indicator - points out your direction in reference to your map.

6. Visual cue feedback for chests, enemy footsteps, and gunfire - additional support unique to the mobile platform in tandem with the audio cues that are also present in other platforms.

7. Engages aim mode for currently selected weapon - activate a more sensitive scrolling when aiming your weapon.

8. Engage crouch position - make your avatar walk slowly and perform more accurate shots.

9. Jump - makes your avatar jump in the game.

10. Resource indicators - indicates the amount of wood, brick and metal which you've already scavenged.

11. Opens inventory - holds the loot items that you currently have.

12. Quick buttons to switch between weapons - a panel to quickly switch between your weapons. Drag the weapons from your inventory towards the vacant buttons to assign them.

13. Ammo and reload indicator - shows you how much reloads you have left, and ammunition per reload.

14. Reload button - activates a reload on the currently selected weapon (if you have the ammunition).

15. Toggle build mode - switch button to activate the build mode.

Build Mode

Interface

1. Quick buttons to switch between structures - a panel to quickly switch between the basic structures to build.

2. Resource indicators - indicates the amount of wood, brick and metal which you currently have.

3. Toggle battle mode - switch button to go back to the battle mode.

4. Build the structure (alternatively, click on center of screen) - builds the current structure as exemplified by the builder.

5. Edit the structure (make windows, doors, or the variety of wall openings) - enables edit mode on built structures.

6. Rotates the orientation of the structure - rotate feature to the structure you have yet to build.

Season 4 Battle Pass Official Patch Notes:

-You can now mark cosmetic items as favorites in the Locker.

-‘Random’ option added to each cosmetic equipment slot in the Locker.

This will randomly choose between items you’ve marked as favorites each match (or from all owned items if nothing is marked as a favorite).

-You are no longer limited to just the 6 slots on your emote wheel for Sprays and Emotes and can now use any of the ones you own in a match!

a.The Locker slots act as a page of presets, but you can cycle through to any emotes marked as a favorite and then all emotes, sorted by type (Mobile: Buttons added next to radial menu).

-Added new “Locker Emote Slot” button bindings, which allow you to immediately trigger any of your 6 Emote or Spray presets.

-While Auto Run is active, an icon is now displayed.

-Improved the look and feel of the Game options tab.

-Slightly decreased the size of the arrow over players heads when they are close to you.

-Quickbar now supports drag and drop for dropping and moving inventory items.

-Holding the movement stick in a direction for 3-seconds now enables an option to turn on auto run.

-Adding ‘Repair Building’ button.

-Added 'Cycle Weapon' button.

-Made improvements to prevent finger creep.

-Slightly decreased aim assist strength at further distances to allow for easier fine tuning when aiming.

-Grenade indicators are now displayed when grenades are equipped.

-Made improvements to low-end mobile performance by dynamically scaling background draw distances with player height.

-Reduced object draw distance for medium/lower-end iOS devices.
