Counter:Side is a side-scroller, hero collector title that features an engaging story, smooth combat system, wonderful art, and interesting characters. Managing your units is an integral part of the game, with their strength having a direct impact on your progress in the game. Limit Fusion is a process that further allows your maxed out units to grow and become even more powerful. In our Counter Side Limit Fusion guide, we will discuss how to limit-fuse your units to unleash their full potential.

What is Limit Fusion

Limit Fusion can only be done on LV100 units. Limit Fusion increases the character’s max level by 2 and stat growth rate by 2%. After increasing the max level, you still need to do Salary Negotiations to increase their levels. Limit Fusion can be performed up to 5 times, making LV110 as the highest possible level a unit can achieve in the game as of now.

Limit Fusion is basically a high-end limit break process. The main difference is that instead of using ordinary cores, you’re only limited to using incredibly rare materials called Fusion Cores or use another copy of the unit as material. This is the main reason why you should save copies of SSR units instead of using them for Limit Break. SSR units (even non-farmable SR) units are really hard to come by, and farming for ordinary APT cores is much more manageable than collecting Fusion Cores. Unlike APT Cores, Fusion Cores can be used by any unit type.

Limit Fusion Procedure

The process is similar to Limit Breaking. Access the Lab option from your main menu or by tap the HQ option in the Home tab of the lobby. Once there, select the Limit Break tab then tap the Select Target button in the middle of the screen. There you’ll see all units eligible for limit break. The character eligible for limit fusion will have the label “Limit Fusion available”. Select the unit, then choose the limit break materials and press the Limit Fusion button in the lower-right corner to complete the process.

How to get Fusion Cores

Fusion Cores are incredibly rare and can’t be farmed. Thankfully, there are some manageable methods of acquiring them. Here’s a short list of methods but do check out our dedicated guide page for getting more Fusion Cores.

1. Dismiss a SSR unit.

2. Fuse ordinary cores via Gear Crafting > Crafting Facility > APT Core tab.

3. Buy from the Exchange Shop using quartz (under Today’s Deals)

4. You can also exchange using quartz directly via the Convenience Goods tab. You can buy up to 2 fusion cores for 260 quartz each weekly.

5. Exchange 400 [Task Planet Points] in the Planet Mall. You can do this up to 5 times monthly.

6. Purchase 1 fusion core weekly using 2000 [Coalition Tokens]. (exclusive to Consortium/guild members)

7. Exchange [Ownerless Business Cards] (obtained by dismissing employees) to get 5 fusion cores weekly.

What is Limit Fusion

Limit Fusion can be a tedious process and there’s no way around to expedite it. Even leveling up and limit breaking a character to reach LV100 is already a chore enough on its own. That’s why it’s highly recommended to choose which unit you’ll grind for. The easy choice would be limit-fusing your favorite character(s) since you’ll be most likely to max them out earlier. SR units can be a bit manageable, especially the ones that you can actively farm but that doesn’t make the process any faster. SSR units are harder to limit-fuse since getting their copies are heavily-reliant on your luck (or spending capacity). Worse comes to worse, you’ll have to rely solely on Fusion Cores. Nevertheless, the benefits and boosts a character gets from undergoing this process are quite significant.
