Profile

Note: You might notice that the profile describes a secondary attribute. Whenever you recruit an Aurorian for the first time, you’ll be able to view their primary attributes only. The secondary attribute is only acquired once you have obtained the max level of Ascension. Legendary Aurorians come with their max ascension level however. We also didn’t include their Atk, Def, and HP since the values can change over time depending on the game updates.

In Alchemy Stars, Gronru is a Thunder unit with a Converter role. As such, the skills that you’ll be able to obtain will let you change the colors of tiles in order for you to get better paths when attacking. In terms of chain combos, you’ll be able to deal damage to a number of columns within a given number of tiles you have crossed.

Skills

Gronru is a converter that’s quite straightforward in terms of getting yellow tiles. Once you’re able to use her active skill, she’ll be able to convert the nearest blue and red tiles. Since the cooldown is just 2 preemptive rounds, you should be able to get yellow tiles in no time.

Once you’re able to chain enough yellow tiles as well, you can provide supplementary damage to specific columns. As long as you’re able to chain up to 9 tiles above, you can damage 3 columns. Her damage modifiers aren’t that high though, so you will want to bring other DPS characters.

Equipment

Gronru’s chain combos will improve once you’re able to get her equipment skill. With the Magnetic Storm support, she’ll be able to increase her damage output slightly, but you’re actually after the paralysis effect since this can cripple a round for opponents.

Since Gronru is a converter, she’ll be able to provide better path options for a Thunder team. Bring other Thunder Aurorians that gain benefits from longer chain tiles. If you also bring another converter, then you’ll be able to get more chances of chaining skills.

Breakthrough Bonuses

Maximizing Gronru’s breakthrough levels will help improve in her role as a converter. If you weren’t able to use her conversion skill on a specific round, she’ll be able to convert more tiles on the next attempt. Her final enhancement also increases the tile converting count by 1 which provides you with more chain combo possibilities.

If you have other Thunder Aurorians that can benefit from chain skills, then having Gronru is a good match for a mono team. Provide her with Detonators and Snipers, and she’ll be able to provide a lot for the damage possibilities.
