Zio and the Magic Scrolls is an idle-RPG game with gacha mechanics where you’ll have to form a team of capable heroes and villains to tackle the various story stages and content the game has to offer. To aid you in your quests and journey, shops and other establishments are readily available to cater your needs. Manadonna is a scroll shop that allows you to upgrade (reinforce) and craft new spell scrolls that you can use in combat. You can access this facility by tapping the Kingdom option in the bottom of the menu.

Scroll Reinforcement

This is the process of upgrading your scrolls to increase their effectiveness. Aside from gold, you’ll also need five different types of upgrade materials: Empty Scrolls, Mana Ink, Power Crest, Blessing Crest, and Destructive Crest These materials are automatically accumulated from Bono’s Bag as you progress in the story. The amount of gold, type of materials, and amount of materials required for reinforcing a scroll will increase as your scroll’s level increases

Since you’ll need a lot of resources to reinforce your scrolls, it’s actually recommended to stick with a handful that you can consistently level up. For example, the Maga Hibencus scroll is a great choice since it’s a party-wide healing spell with a moderate casting cost. As a general rule of thumb, it will be a great idea to keep your scrolls reinforced regularly to make sure that their performance is up to par with your progress.

Scroll Crafting

You’ll have access to a handful of default spells when you start the game. As you progress in the story, you’ll be able to craft new scrolls that you can equip and use in combat. Some scrolls only become craftable once you summon the required heroes. Once crafted, you can equip these scrolls without needing to include the characters that unlocked the scroll in your party. Fortunately, the unlockable scrolls are good enough on their own so even if you don’t unlock the other special scrolls, you’ll still be able to clear most of the game’s contents and challenges.
