Right at the start of chapter 5 in the house next to the blocked gate there are four pictures. The intersecting colors of the circles from right to left are lime, orange, pink and grey and if you compare those colors with the sheet in the trash bin it's 8254.

What I don't understand is why the correct combination is 2854. Is there a pattern I'm not seeing or am I supposed to just randomly try out all number combinations until I find the right one?

The game has had an update recently which has changed some of the puzzles and structure of Chapter 5 and several other chapters. But from memory I believe the pictures has a specific number order for them which gave you the order for the code.
