I don’t get my food back very often during log in. Sometimes in middle of day. Is there anything I’m supposed to do to make this more reliable.

You can reliably get ALL of your food back if you gather it right away by clicking on your food resource spot each time you login. It must be one of the first things you do, if not the first, after logging in. If it’s been several hours since I’ve played last, when I log in I can get over 20 million food! If I forget to do this and run lairs and whatnot and then gather food, I’d be lucky to get even a million.
It’s definitely worth making it a habit!
