What happens if you attack the lair the zombies are coming out of during Dead Rising event?

You can take out the lair, but the zombies keep coming.

The lairs can be attacked. It doesn't stop the zombies. The lair just disappears and then keep coming from nothing. Not sure if it changes anything else. But will try the same level next time without attacking them

You will be defeated 1 level on dead rising event.
