I am unable to unlock Chester despite defeating the level 6 zombies severally. In fact I am currently on level 7 zombies and still can get Chester I don't know why and it's getting very frustrating?

Level 6, 7, 8 and 9 and above supply boxes which you get from defeating those level lairs will have a chance to drop Chester frags. Open the boxes to collect these. Once you get 10 frags you can then recruit Chester in the Heroes menu.
