In hero economy (red) marshall what is hunt attack up for?

In hero economy (red) marshall what is hunt attack up for? Which is in his Troop skill when you reach level 71.. What is that? Hunt attack for what? Zombies or lairs? Or raiding? Is that passive? Or needed to bring the hero for it to work and activate? Thanks..

I did a lair before and after upgrading Marshall to level 71, so best I can tell, it does not impact lairs. That said, he was NOT one of the deployed heros, so maybe it isn’t a passive boost and he has to be in the troop?

It's for individual zombies, no lairs.
