The strength of your rally will depend on many factors. The tier of troops in it and the number of troops that can join are important ones.

To make it strong you want the person leading the rally to have the largest troops size, this is from the hall of war upgrades and some other hero skills and research bonuses.

Then get members to send their best troops. If they can fill the march with T6 only that would be best.

Avoid sending Vehicles as these do little damage and take up room in the rally that other members could send better troops.

In addition to this the better the members heroes and the better their stats for their troops (from gear / chips/ modules / research etc. the stronger you will be.

Cars absolutely help in zombie lair rallies… they help with healing which in return helps save the initiators rss to heal his troops after the attack on the lair. So if you are testing a lair send your best(strongest)troops and have other members send only 1 car. This will allow you to take on the lair solo. Otherwise, if not testing have the other members send as many cars they have. All those vehicles will absorb so much wounded troops heals. Who doesn’t want to save rss to use for upgrades??
