You also earn coins through help. Every help you give a clan mate earns you 1000 coins up to 50000 a day.

How do you use alliance coin?

The main source of alliance coins is from donating to the alliance tech. Every time you donate to one of the tech items you will receive coins up to a daily limit.

You can also get a few coins from some event rewards.

Defense of Alliance and Alliance trial give coins. I think also Alliance clash.
