When someone quits, how do you remove the sanctuary? Attacking repeatedly doesn't seem to work, do they have to quit somehow?

You do need to attack repeatedly. It can take a lot of hits to get their base to move especially if they are at a higher level. If your watch tower is at a high enough level you can send a Scout to the base at any time to check on their remaining defense level.

This option works very well, in our alliance we have just tested it with the headquarters of a colleague who lost his account. It takes time but it is achieved and disappears 0 0 REPORT
