How do you upgrade your heroes to the next level when they are at max?

How do you upgrade your heroes to the next level when they are at max? For instance, mine are all on 30, how do I get level 31?

Go to heroes, choose evolve like you did on level 10, you need 30 combat manual I'm and 60 combat manual 2... Have to go to the campaign and fight (and win) each level for a chance at getting manuals... Be sure to have 1 of each color...

Mine reach 130 and says level max how do I get to 131.

You need to 'Evolve' the hero. Tap the Evolve button to see what requirements you are missing. You probably need to gain more Combat manuals which you get from completing campaign levels.
