Skills and Unique Abilities
More The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross
We've learned in the previous page how we can make our heroes stronger and more effective in combat. In this page, we will learn what are the different skill types in the game, the heroes' unique abilities, and how to use power up your skill ranks as needed in combat.
Skill Types
Each character has two skills, one Ultimate Move, and one Unique Ability. Here are the icons representing all skill types in the game. The skills equipped to heroes usually determine their role in combat. You can find DPS heroes relying on Debuff and Damaging skills, while others in Restoration. Thankfully, all heroes have a somewhat balanced combination of skills; you won't find heroes equipped only with a single-type skill.Skill Type | Description | |
---|---|---|
Damaging | Skill that deals damage to a single target or all targets. | |
Debuff | Inflict negative effects to the target(s). | |
Damage and Debuff | Best of two worlds; deal damage while also inflicting negative effects. | |
Buff | Apply positive effects to the target. | |
Defensive | Grants protection to self/allies. | |
Recovery | Replenishes HP and/or removal of debuffs. |
Unique Abilities
Every hero has a unique skill that will further increase their effectiveness in combat. Unlike other skills, Unique abilities need to be unlocked first. The first requirement is to increase the character’s Combat Class. Please follow the link to learn more how to increase this value.Once you have met or exceeded the required CC value for the hero, you’ll need to clear a Trial, which is usually a 1v1 fight against another character that the hero has ties with. If you cleared the trial, the hero will then successfully unlock his/her unique skill. Don't worry if you failed, you can attempt these trials as often as needed, until you succeed!
Skill Ranks
Character skills can be temporarily ranked up during combat, up to LV3 (3 stars) which further increases their default value and adds/improves their effects. Since manually ranking up a skill takes up a usable skill slot in combat during the turn, this becomes a tactical choice done by the player. However, you should also remember that some skills become more effective at Skill Rank 2 or 3 by having more potent effects and/or increasing the number of targets, friendly or otherwise. You can review these effects from the heroes' status page.Ultimate Move
Enhancing an Ultimate Move will permanently improve its power. To do this, you’ll need the hero’s own Hero Coin and gold. You can enhance an ultimate move up to LV.6.You can get a Hero Coin by drawing a copy of a hero you already have. This happens automatically in the Hero Draw summary screen. Different versions of the same heroes are counted as separate entities, hence, they have their own coins.
