Equipment Grades

Equipment gives your heroes an additional boost through stat increase and modifiers. Each hero has access to 6 equipment slots: Bracelet, Necklace, Belt, Ring, Earrings, and Runes. It’s always a good idea to fully equip your main characters, especially with equipment that either complements their strengths or covers up their weaknesses. Like most items in the game, there are several equipment grades. Ranging from weakest to strongest, the grades are: C, UC, R, SR, and SSR.

While it’s already a given that SSR equipment will have higher max stats, don’t hesitate to slot in lower-grade equipment since that’s better than having nothing equipped at all. It’s still ideal to invest on SSR equipment in the long run but don’t hesitate to invest and awaken at least R equipment pieces until you manage to collect SR/SSR pieces.

Equipment Enhancement and Awakening

You can further increase your equipment through the process of Enhancement and Awakening. Enhancement uses up Gold and Enhance stones. You’ll get enhance stones from the Coin Shop, Events, Fight Festival Shop, Salvaging unwanted equipment, and Training Grotto. The amount of enhance stones needed will depend on the rarity of the equipment.

Whenever you successfully enhance an item, it gets +1 marker. You can enhance this up to +5. Once it reaches that soft level cap, you’ll need to Awaken the gear. This process requires Awakening Stones of the same grade and a large amount of gold. (Tap the stone and select Location to view all sources where you can gather these stones) As long as you have the money and enhance stones, you can also perform a Consecutive Enhance up to +5.

Grade, Enhancement, Awakening, and Bonus Effects

Successfully awakened equipment will have their Enhancement levels reset and will have a star at the bottom of their icon, as well as an unlocked Bonus Effect slot. You can awaken an equipment up to 5 times, each with an increasingly large amount of gold and resources.

There’s also a chance to fail in your enhancement attempts. When this happens, you’ll only lose the gold and materials used for the attempt. The enhancement level will not be affected.

As a general recommendation, it’s only worth investing in SSR pieces. Sure, you can at least enhance R and SR equipment up to +5 as placeholder pieces but we suggest saving up the stones to enhance and awaken any SSR equipment you’ll eventually come across.

Bonus Effect Slots

All equipment grades have access to five bonus effect slots. These secondary stats are unlocked as you awaken the piece of equipment. The value of these bonus stats is based on a percentage range, regardless of quality. For example, a SSR and C-grade belt will have the same 1%-3% HP Increase rate, 2%-6% Recovery Rate Increase, and so on. The main difference however is that higher grade equipment will have higher upgrade and reroll cost. If you’re dedicated and patient enough, you can even reroll the same bonus stat on all 5 stats with presumably stacked effects. You can only reroll Awakened Equipment.

Here are the ranges of the Bonus Effects you can possibly get per equipment type.

Crit Chance Increase 1.5%-4.5%
Crit Damage Increase 2%-6%
