Gray Demon Raid Team

The battle against the Gray Demon will become available after completing the main story Episode 72: Saving Elizabeth. This demon drops materials needed to limit break characters to LV70. Unlike the Red Demon where you can be flexible with your character choices, you’ll be forced to employ specific characters in order to tackle this demon. Let’s discuss how to properly deal with this tough and tricky monstrosity.

Gray Demon Information:

* The Gray Demon is a Speed attribute meaning HP heroes are the best damage dealers for this fight and you have to avoid including Strength heroes.

* This demon also takes additional damage from Fairies and the Shatter effect

* This demon has immunity against Debuffs and Dissolve, this means you have to rely on a heavy dose of burst damage to deal with it.

* The demon has a flight buff, depending on the battle difficulty. While in flight, all melee attacks can’t hit it so your only choice is to hit it with ranged attacks.

Flight Buff Information:

The general idea is to whittle down the demon with ranged attacks while ranking up and holding on to important skills such as Rank 3 attack up buffs, ult moves, and healing. Once the demon crashes, apply the attack up buff to your party and unleash your most powerful offensive skills.

Recommended Characters:

* [FOREST GUARDIAN] King the Fairy King is the best character for this boss since he’s an HP attribute, a Fairy, and his ultimate move inflicts Shatter damage. Furthermore, his Unique ability increases Crit Chance by 10% per each Ultimate Move Gauge orb; this crit chance gets an additional 50% if it his ult move orbs are completely filled. When this happens, use his normal attacks first before unleashing his ult.

* [LIONES] Princess Elizabeth is a top-tier support unit for this fight, Her unique ability fills the hero's Ultimate Move Gauge by 2 orbs at the start of the battle. She also has access to a reliable all-party, normal healing skill. Her ult is a large party heal while also filling everyone’s Ult Move gauge by 2 orbs.

* [FOREST GUARDIAN] Fairy Helbram is also a HP attribute Fairy like King but you mainly want him for his Fairy Wind skill which buffs the attacks of all allies up to 30% for 3 turns. On top of that, his unique ability allows him to get a one-a-battle heal once his HP reaches 0.

His Lightning Power skill can already increase all allies’ attack by 30% for 2 turns but bump it to Skill Rank 3 and you’ll have a 60% attack increase for 3 turns.

* [BURNING EMBER] Knight of Danafor Cain should be in the sub slot only if you have his unique ability, Extreme Counter, unlocked. This increases all allies' Attack-related stats by 10% in Death Match.

Alternatives:

* [THE GOAT SIN OF LUST] Gowther may be a strength-attribute hero but you can take the risk if you want to have his Invasion Arrow and unique ability available. Invasion Arrow increases the skill ranks of an ally but you’ll want its Rank 3 effect that increases the skill ranks of all allies as well as their basic stats by 20% for 3 turns. His unique ability also increases the attack of all allies by 10% at the start of next turn if he doesn’t take damage.

* [THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS] Captain Meliodas is a great alternative DPS unit primarily for his strong ranged attack Enchant: Hell Blaze, perfect for keeping consistent damage even when the gray demon is in flight.

* [THE GRIZZLY SIN OF SLOTH] King the Fairy King is another great backup healer and reliable ult with Shatter but his placement will only be viable if you don’t have [FOREST GUARDIAN]. Don’t put him in the same team as [LIONES] Elizabeth since your party’s DPS output will greatly suffer.
