You are safe from attacks when you are in port. To stay in port for longer than 30 minutes tap on the timer above the Ports name that shows how long you have. You will then get 'Mooring' option.

You can buy Permits to stay in port for 8 hours or 24 hours. This will keep you safe for that length of time.
