Ships and Ship Building in Sea of Conquest

Sea of Conquest Guide
More Sea of Conquest

Last Updated:

Your presence in Sea of Conquest is your Flag ship and the fleet of other ships that you develop to make your own fighting naval force. It is your home, means of transport, income generation and battle station. Progress in the game is made through building new ships and upgrading what you have, as well as staffing them with Heroes and sailors.

Below we have a rundown on all you need to know about your ships, how to get them and the best way to make them stronger for you. You should also check the Ship Parts Guide for details on the parts that you can add to strengthen each ship.

Your fleet will begin with your flagship, and you will quickly be able to add to this 2 more side ships. As you continue to level up you will eventually be able to have up to 5 side ships to give you a total fleet of 6.

Ship Building

Before the list of ships we have a quick guide to ship building. Some of the ships you can gain will be fixed to a specific quality (Rare, Epic, Legendary) and have fixed skills. In each season there will also be 1 new ship that you can build in the Ships screen of the game.

How to build ships

To build a ship you will need 2 items. The first is Blueprints for the particular ship design. These can be found in the Cartographer's Corner Stall for purchase, earned as reward chests during the season events and also purchased with real money.

You will also need 20 Shipwright's Hammers for every build you make.

With each build that you make you can receive a ship of different qualities. The chances of receiving each level are as follows:

  • Legendary: 10%
  • Epic: 28%
  • Rare: 62%

Each time you build a ship of a set design you will increase a luck count. When this reaches 100% you are guaranteed a Legendary Ship on the next build. The count is reset if you get a legendary ship before this.

Skills

Each of the ships that you builds will also receive a set of skills chosen randomly from a Skill list. After the build you can chose one of these skills to Hone (change) to try to get an improvement. You can only hone 1 skill from a ship.

Flagship

Your flagship is a fixed vessel that you can only upgrade and improve upon with cabin upgrades, ships parts and crew. It will be your most powerful ship with the option to concentrate on combat or trading activities at any time.

The ship has no specialization in terms of combat. It is classed as All Round meaning that it can support heroes and parts of any specialization.

As the level of the flagship controls the max level and strengths of all the ships in the fleet and the parts you can add, your main task in the game will be to upgrade the Flag ship and strengthen the cabins within it. Doing this will require gold and other resources that you need to trade, plunder and generate as you play.
