The Hymn conch is used in dedicated recruitment banners to give a higher chance of recruiting specific heroes, usually Season heroes, and also Trinkets. They are very useful but they are hard to come by.

The Echo conch is much more common and is used in regular recruitment banners with a lower chance of recruiting the Legendary heroes of the game.

When to use Conches

You will get 1 or sometimes more free opportunities to recruit every day. After that you can use your earned conches at any time to make recruitment attempts.

It can be worth saving conches for the Lord of the Sea event that occurs every 2 weeks. On 3 of the days during the event you can score points by recruiting with conches. If you are able to save for this then you can use them to get yourself even more rewards.

The Hymn conches are used in special banners which are time limited. It is hard to save up a lot of these but if you are able to do so or want to buy some with real money then keep an eye on the Conch menu for the opportunities and use them when the heroes that you want to gain are on the banner to give yourself an increased chance of getting them.

In the Conch recruitment menu you can check the Calendar to see what banners are coming up and decide if you want to save for them.
