How do you find the hidden treasure with the golden compass?

Once it is activated (the tutorial at the start of the game will help you with this) you just tap the compass and it will show you a blue marking to give you a direction to sail in.
Keep moving in the direction and tap the compass again until you eventually reveal the location.
