My sanctuary has been repeatedly attacked by various players over a span of 2 days. How can I protect my sanctuary better other than buying shields and trying to upgrade my level on the game which I am already doing?

Join an alliance or find a better alliance. Try to join one of the more powerful ones in your state and move within its hive area.
