How do clubs, teams, cliques and fraternity/sorority benefit the player?

Fraternities and Sororities benefit by when applying to a job, you’ll immediately get in with no questions asked because the person was in the fraternity/sorority with you. I’m pretty sure it helps if you want to become an actor to take drama class because it helps your skill same with musicians and choir/band club.
